So you’ve been informed by the builder that your new property is ready for handover. This is all very good, but how do you know that they have completed the dwelling without any building defects.
The building supervisor is normally juggling many new builds at the same time and may not have the time to complete a comprehensive and thorough building inspection.
It’s a great idea to get an independent building inspection carried out prior to handover. We will ensure all works have been completed to an acceptable standard, which is expected from a brand-new home.
Pre-handover inspections require a comprehensive inspection of the new construction. We will identify any defects that the builder will need to rectify before you are satisfied to complete the handover.
At the pre-handover inspection we check that all the building work has been completed to the building industry standard. Handover or Final Stage Inspections are also called Practical Completion Inspections.
Your Certified Professional Inspector will discuss your report in detail with you after you’ve had a chance to read through it. This will ensure you fully understand any defects discovered at your new property.
